Study in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a Central Asian country bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, China from the east side. The country is increasingly gaining acceptance among the Indian students for doing higher studies from Kyrgyzstan as it offers cheap and best studies. This country is just a 4 hours flight away from Delhi. Also the population of the country is close to 60 lakh people and Russian and Kyrgyz are the official languages spoken here.

Admission Process

The process of applying at a Kyrgyzstan university is quite easy and the students can apply online for pursuing higher studies from here. The admission process starts in summer preceding September and most of the institutions need an application form with particulars of the student’s secondary or vocational record.

Candidates first of all, need to choose the course/program and the college/university where you are planning to do their studies in Kyrgyzstan.

Requirements for admission at Kyrgyzstan based universities

  • Passport photo
  • Record of completed upper secondary (high school) education
  • A valid passport
  • A valid photocopy of student’ visa
  • Personal ID card
  • Health certificate
  • Certification of no criminal record
  • Chinese/English language proficiency certificate
  • Translation, if needed
  • Bank’ statement showing sufficient funds
  • Certificate/diploma from last graduated school

Selected students who are offered seat at the university must apply for the students’ Visa. The Visa application will be considered further based on the admission letter offered to the candidates. The documents needed at the time of applying for the visa include Visa application form, Passport, Copy of Admission letter, two passport size photos, and Medical certificates as a proof of fitness as well.

Tuition Fees

On average, tuition fees charged by non public universities located here is almost $1,500 for Kyrgyzstan nationals while it is $2,000 for international students, but fees for Kyrgyz State University and other public universities is significantly lower. Moreover, several scholarships in the form of fee waivers are available at most institutions to deserving students.
