Study in Kazakhstan
There are close to 150 universities located in Kazakhstan, many located in former capital Almaty and current capital Astana. There are many universities in Kazakhstan that are featured in the QS World University Rankings, out of which a few include L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakh National Technical University, etc.
Pursuing higher studies from Kazakhstan can be a huge relief for the students who plan to study abroad, but sometimes get afraid due to high tuition fees. But unlike other international destinations, Kazakhstan offers higher education at affordable prices allowing international students to get an excellent education at the most reduced rates.
Admission Process
At the time of applying to universities in Kazakhstan, students need to produce proof of completed secondary education and in some cases you may be asked to attend a telephonic or face-to-face interview as well. You may be asked in the entrance exam as well and students are supposed to show their proficiency in the language of the course they opted for. Many universities here offer a few programs in English or another language as well allowing international students to continue their studies here.
Requirements for admission at Kazakhstan based universities
- Passport photo
- Record of completed upper secondary (high school) education
- Photocopy of valid passport
- Photocopy of valid visa
- Personal ID card
- Receipt of application fees
- Health certificate
- Certification stating no criminal record
- Financial proof, etc.
Once international students have got selected for a particular course, they need to apply for a student VISA as well. Once you’ve received an offer of a place at a university, the admissions department will ask you for any information they need to prepare an official letter of invitation, which the candidates can use while applying for a visa by visiting the nearest Kazakh embassy.
Tuition fees
Tuition fees charged by most of the universities in Kazakhstan differ from US$200 to 4,000 per year, based on the university selected, either public or private. The majority of the universities and colleges located here offer several scholarships and loans to the students who have high academic achievement and have some financial issues.
